TRANSITION |
| FEATURED BAND: Transition | LABEL: Floodgate Records | |
For each month's Featured Release, we ask the principle songwriters for the band to provide commentary for each track on the new record. Here, fans are given some insight into the inspiration, creative developement, and recording process for all the songs on the record. Song commentary for this album by Daniel Smyers. 1. Excusable This song is about our CD-selling process last summer at Myrtle Beach, and the up's and down's about work and fun. 2. Down At The Harbor This is a song I wrote when I went to the beach with my girlfriend at the time. She gave me a hard time while i was there, hence the song. 3. The Issue "The Issue" is the first song we wrote for the record..It's about somebody not recognizing how much you care about them. 4. Winter I wrote the chorus to the song while watching Fever Pitch..The story of my last relationship parallelled this movie, so it kind of worked out. 5. Air We Breathe This is a song about touring. 6. Count Me Out "Count Me Out" is an old song that I wrote about a cheating girlfriend. 7. A Letter From Dallas This song is about touring and the ones closest to you not supporting what you're doing. 8. Carolina Fun beach song about a girl in the Carolinas. 9. Give And Take This is the ballad of the record..Different than anything we've ever done. We're pretty excited about it though! 10. Get There Title track of the record..once again, about touring. 11. Tune In This song is about a good friend walking out on you when you're on the opposite side of the country. |
