E: So the band you play for--the Audition--is just starting to emerge on the scene with a collection of music that's hard to pass up. How far along would you say you guys are in your careers as musicians?
Ryan: Honestly, in our minds, we are just getting started in our careers. We as a band have not been together that long. We just put out our first EP by ourselves and are constantly writing new music, and hope to take this band far as we can.
E: Do you plan on making this your full-time lifestyle in the future?
Joe: We would love to play music full-time... come on, who doesn't? So if everything goes as well as we hope, and allows us to constantly tour and write music.... of course we would make this a full-time thing.
E: What sort of work do you find yourselves doing for the band aside from playing your instruments at shows?
Ryan: I find myself online everyday trying to get new people to listen to my band. I don't see it as work at all because I love what we have and I totally believe that we have something special. Well, to be honest, I'm the business person in the band. I take care of most of it but not all. The other guys are always there ready and willing to help with anything and everything.
E: Have you been playing a lot of shows lately?
Joe:  As of now, we have been practicing a lot and have been writing a lot of new music. So we have been a little more selective on the shows we play. But we grew up as a band that would play any show anytime, because we got into the band to play music not to sit on our asses. So whenever a basement or house show comes around we're always down to play if we can.
E: Is a lot of time spent practicing?
Ryan: Every day we can-- eleven o'clock to three PM, Monday through Friday.
E: Are you at the point where you play only your own material? Or are covers thrown in to keep things new?
Joe: We play all of our own material.
E: Is this the first band for you guys? Or have you been involved in other groups?
Ryan: This is everybody's first band except for Bob and Dave. They were both in a few others before we all got together.
E: When do you plan on recording next?
Joe: We are going into the studio in September to record two new songs for some people interested in our band. But after that, we won't be going into the studio until we find a good label to put a rocking CD out on.
E: Is recording again something you're excited about?
Ryan: Oh hell yeah. We all get really excited to get creative in the studio, and to see how the songs come out.
E: How long have you been working on the material you'll be recording?
Joe: We usually will start writing a new song and not finish it right away, record it on a little tape recorder so we don't forget it, and come back to it when we have some fresh ideas, so then we don't rush any of our songs.
E: Well, thanks a lot.
Joe: No, thank you.
